By Train from London

Once you get to Oxford, come out of the front entrance of the station, walk down to the main road and turn left. After the maze of traffic lights you will see three roads - take the middle one which is Park End street. Go past Office World on your left and keep going up the hill (don’t veer left after the Irish pub), past Nuffield College on the left and the Prison on the right. Where the road bends round to the right, keep walking straight on instead, in the direction of the shops – this is Queen’s Street. Walk past BHS and Marks and Spencer and after about 100yds you will reach Carfax (a crossroads, with a tower on the left). Turn right into St Aldate’s. 97a is on the right-hand side after the Post Office and before Pembroke Street.

By Coach from London

There are two coach services that run between Oxford and London:

Get off at Gloucester Green bus station (the last stop in Oxford) and walk across Gloucester Green, which is a little market square. Head for the cinema (you should walk past this on your right), and then cross the street into New Inn Hall Street – Coffee shop on the right and O’Neills pub on the left. Walk the length of this road and cross Queen’s Street, directly into a pedestrian street between Bhs and the jewellers. Take the first left, which is Pembroke Street. At the end of Pembroke Street, turn left and you will find 97a a few doors down on the left.

By Car

The one-way system, together with heavy traffic and expensive parking, make driving in Oxford difficult, so we do recommend taking the train or bus.

The M40 from the North
The M40 links London to the North via Birmingham. Leave the motorway at junction 9 (A34) and take the first Oxford exit (signposted Oxford, Cheltenham, Evesham, London). At the first roundabout take the first exit towards the Ring Road .You will pass the Park and Ride on your left. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit signposted City Centre, TV6, and keep on this road (called Woodstock Road) all the way to the city centre where you will see the Randolph Hotel in front of you and a set of traffic lights where you have to turn right into the one way system (Beaumont Street), and at the next set of traffic lights follow the road round to the left. At the following set of main lights turn left, keeping in the right-hand lane in order to go straight on into Hollybush Oxpens Road. Then stay in the left-hand lane and you will be directed into the Westgate car park. To get to St Aldate's from here, walk through the Westgate shopping centre to the exit by Sainsbury's, keeping Sainsbury's on your right. Leave the centre and walk past St Ebbe's church on the right and cross the road into Pembroke Street. At the end of the road, turn left. 97a is a few doors down on the left.

The M40 from the South (London)
Coming from London, leave the M40 at junction 8, signposted Oxford. The road becomes the A40 and you keep on it (past the Park and Ride) until you reach the Oxford ring road roundabout with MacDonalds on the left hand corner. Take the first exit off the roundabout on to the A4142. Keep on the ring road, straight over a series of traffic lights and roundabouts passing Cowley to your left and Iffley to your right. At the third roundabout, where you will see signs to Abingdon, take the second exit signposted to the City Centre (A4144). You will pass the Park and Ride on your left. This is called the Abingdon Road and it takes you into the city centre. Once you have crossed the river (The Head of the River pub should be on your right), the road takes you round to the left. Follow signs for the Westgate car park, which is on the right. To get to St Aldate's from here, walk through the Westgate shopping centre to the exit by Sainsbury's, keeping Sainsbury's on your right. Leave the centre and walk past St Ebbe's church on the right and cross the road into Pembroke Street. At the end of the road, turn left into St. Aldate's. 97a is a few doors down on the left.

Alternatively, Oxford runs a good Park & Ride service.
