phase 1
Phase 1 forms the foundations of the course. Beginning with an introduction to Apologetics and the Spiritual Disciplines, we focus on the nature of truth and how we can communicate truth in our current cultural situation. We give time to analysing the various worldviews we all encounter and begin to show how we can present the cross in a way that connects with people. The nature of God as Trinity features strongly as we begin to build up our confidence in the gospel and our ability to share it with others.

phase 2
Phase 2 grapples with the ideas that have taken many people in our culture captive. We engage with the all-pervasive Post Modern worldview, giving explanation as well as practical help in sharing Christ in this context. Atheism is tackled, as is the increasingly popular eastern spirituality of pantheism. We focus on the doctrine of God as Creator and explore the origins of the Universe, including the origin of evil.

phase 3
In these sessions we meet the challenge of Islam and explore ways of understanding its influence in the world. The Bible is examined and scrutinised, as is the place of evidential apologetics and the role of science. We look at ethics as the touch point of colliding worldviews and explore how ethical questions and dilemmas can be opportunities to present the person of Christ. Finally, we explore the Problem of Pain and learn how we can effectively share the gospel in our suffering world.
